1.5 - A Revelation

After his morning workout, Lucas ran into Pip, a man he had met briefly when he first got to town.  This was his second encounter with a fairy and Lucas found him to be fascinating.  They quickly discovered that they had several common interests.

Finally making his first friend in town, Lucas knew that he now could call this home.  His new friend offered enchantment, but Lucas knew that his life was already so full of that.  He thanked him anyway and answered a call to meet Haley in town.

Lucas knew that he just had to get a few photos with his fiance.  He also discovered that Haley liked photo booths for things other than photos!

Downstairs, the couple tried their hand at a little karaoke.  They were terrible, to be sure, but singing together made them both feel incredible.

Some of the local patrons didn't feel the love, but that didn't matter one bit.  They finished the song and abruptly, Haley ran off the stage.

Realizing that she might not be as comfortable on stage, Lucas took out a guitar and began to show the locals what natural talent looked like.  It seemed that he was quite gifted with a guitar in hand.  But his playing stopped suddenly when he saw Haley approaching the stage again.

No words had to be exchanged.  Lucas knew.  He could see it all over her face.  Haley was pregnant.  Their little romantic getaway had given them so much in return.  Lucas felt Haley's tummy, knowing that his child was safely inside, waiting to enter the world.

Lucas' mind reeled.  He was ecstatic.  There was so much room in his life and he knew that being a father was what he wanted.  He had been so thankful just to find this amazing woman to love and now she was going to bear his child.  Lucas knew that he could not be apart from Haley for even one more minute.

Haley, relieved that Lucas was happy to become a father, listened as Lucas explained why they should move quickly on their wedding plans.  He wanted her and this child more than anything and she wanted him just as badly.  Haley needed no convincing and agreed to marry Lucas immediately.

Although the wedding was not as either had planned, it seemed right.  Just the two of them in a romantic setting exchanging vows.  Lucas regretted that Haley would not get to wear a wedding dress and have lots of guests.  He knew he would have to make it up to her somehow.

Haley watched as Lucas slipped the ring on her finger.  It wasn't quite the fairy tale wedding she imagined, but she wouldn't trade it for the world.

She embraced Lucas as they shared their first kiss as man and wife.  Soon, their new family would be growing.  She wanted to hang on to these quiet moments alone before their child arrived.

Lucas stood under the arch with his new bride.  She was radiant.  He felt that his life had been somehow enchanted for all of these events to have happened so quickly.  He wondered if his friend Pip had somehow meddled in this, but quickly realized that it had been his love for Haley that had created all of this.

Arriving back home together, the couple shared a warm embrace in their first night under the same roof.  Lucas was excited to share his life with her.  Their home was now the most magical place in the world for both of them.

Cuddling on the bed, Lucas held his family close in his arms.  He never would have imagined that his life would change this quickly.  From no past to now a blossoming future, he shared his heart and bed with his beautiful wife.

Haley and Lucas consummated their wedding and drifted away to sleep.  Neither one of them knew what to expect with a new baby on the way.  The only thing for sure was that they loved each other and the new life that would soon be joining them in their home.
